WashU provides licenses to several software titles for use by faculty, staff and students. Additionally, the School of Public Health has licenses for more titles that faculty, staff and students are able to use.

NVivo is licensed for use by School of Public Health students, staff, and faculty on both school and personally owned computers. You can download NVivo 14 or 15 for your operating system via the links below. A valid WashU Key is required to access and download these files.

Select the version of SAS you need:
- SAS OnDemand for Academics is a free-to-use version of SAS that does not require installation on your local computer. Instructors can register their classes for access to a fuller suite of tools, but Studio is available to any student via web browser at no cost.
- SAS 9.4 for students
- This SAS license is managed by the university. If prompted, login with your WashU Key.
For SAS 9.4, follow the instructions outlined in the Installation Guide on the Software Licensing downloads website. If prompted, login with your WashU Key to begin the download. Please note, the Windows installer is nearly 30GB and will consume up to 50GB during the installation process. The download and installation process can take several hours, depending on network speed.

Students
SPSS Statistics is available for School of Public Health students for free. To download the software and obtain a license, visit the Software Catalog. Under “Products for Student Use Only,” download the appropriate installation file for your computer along with the installation instructions.
Faculty and staff
Faculty and staff members can obtain a license at a cost of $140/user/year. To obtain a license, submit a Service Now request.

NOTE: IBM SPSS periodically releases Fix Packs for its versions. A Fix Pack is a product update that contains a cumulative collection of code fixes that have been made since the last release of the product. A Fix Pack is installed over an existing SPSS installation. For a schedule of Fix Packs and to download any, visit IBM Fix Central. You will need to register with IBM SPSS in order to download a Fix Pack. The log in portal has a link for registering.
Stata is available to School of Public Health students, faculty and staff. You can download Stata 19 (StataNow/MP) for your operating system and find get the license information via the links below. A valid WashU Key is required to access and download these files.
