Parking at 4300 Duncan
For those who would like to purchase a parking permit for 4300 Duncan Avenue, our new home in the Cortex Innovation District, please fill out this parking registration form by Thursday, July 31. Our office will then circle back with parking passes for those who have registered. For those who wish to park on an as-needed basis, visitor parking is available on an hourly basis in the Newstead Garage on the Medical Campus. The St. Louis City Treasurer’s Office also maintains parking meters in the Cortex district, including on Duncan Avenue. You also may purchase a discounted debit card, with a reduced daily rate, for the Newstead Garage. Purchasers must provide a valid WashU ID to obtain a debit card.
As a reminder, all faculty, staff and students may obtain a free WashU Metro U-Pass that allows for unlimited use of MetroBuses and MetroLink. The 4300 Duncan building is a short walk from the Cortex MetroLink stop.
Duncan mailing address
The mailing address for our space in the Cortex district is 4300 Duncan Avenue, Suite 300, St. Louis, MO 63110. Note that at the moment there is one suite number that covers everyone in the School of Public Health who is located at Duncan. We will arrange for a system to have mail delivered to individual faculty and staff, but for mailing label purposes, for the time being, the suite is “Suite 300.”
Open house and moving day
A reminder that all faculty and staff are invited to an open house at 4300 Duncan on Thursday, July 31, from 10 a.m. to noon, for an opportunity to see the building and explore the space.
That same day at 8 a.m., Dodge Moving, the company managing our move to Duncan, will begin the move-out process from the Danforth Campus. Deliveries to 4300 Duncan will occur after the open house wraps up, so all office items should be ready for move-in by Friday, August 1.

Note about syllabi
Please find the new School of Public Health syllabus template here. Today you also may receive an email from the Office of the Provost with updates on instructional resources for the Fall 2025 semester. Thank you for paying attention to that message. Once you have finalized your syllabus for the Fall 2025 semester, please upload it here, and post to your Canvas page by the first day of class.
It is critical we have all syllabi on file for accreditation purposes, including for our final self-study to CEPH in October. Please let Angela Hobson, PhD, MPH, associate dean of education and teaching professor, know if you have any questions or concerns — and thank you in advance for engagement in this process.

A report co-authored by WashU PublicHealth’s Lindsay Stark, DrPH, discusses how to strengthen such programs based on the needs, vulnerabilities, and experiences of children of different ages, sexes, and gender identities.
