The School of Public Health website has an events calendar showing all events hosted by the School of Public Health and along with select events related to public health. A number of categories are provided for filtering purposes.

Adding individual events to your calendar

When you visit the page of an individual event, an Add to calendar dropdown will appear near the bottom of the description. Clicking on it will reveal three ways you can add the event to your calendar: Google Calendar, iCalendar, and Outlook 365.

An example of the Add to calendar button.

The new entry in your calendar will have the date, time, title, location, details of the event, along with a link to the event page.

Please note that if details for an event change and the event is added to your calendar through this method, the calendar entry does not automatically change. To make sure that you have the latest information for an event, you can visit the event link that is included in the event entry on your calendar, or subscribe to the entire calendar (recommended; see below).

Subscribing to a calendar

Subscribing to a calendar will automatically add and update events to your calendar application of choice. Like above, each event will have the date/time, title, location, description, and links to the event page along with a Zoom link (if applicable).

Subscribe to all events

To subscribe to all events, you can select the “Subscribe to calendar” dropdown on the main calendar page, or click one of the buttons below to add to your calendar of choice. Office 365 is recommended for SPH members.

Subscribing to select groups

Additionally, you can subscribe to a specific subset of event categories. On the main calendar page, select the categories you are interested in, click Subscribe to calendar, and then select where you want to subscribe. Please note that if new categories are added in the future, these subscriptions will not include those new categories.

For SPH members

For SPH faculty, staff, and students, below are links to pre-defined calendars your specific group. All calendars include Talking Public Health, Thinking Public Health school assemblies, Convenings, additional SPH events and other public health-related events. Clicking on any of the subscribe buttons below will open the link in Office 365.

Members of the public can subscribe to SPH events intended for public audiences by selecting the “For everyone” calendar.

Notes
  • If an event is updated on the site, the entry in your calendar will update within 24 hours.
  • Once an event has passed, some calendar applications will automatically remove the event entry from your calendar.
  • Events added by subscribing do not have alerts or reminders included.

While we aim to have the calendar updated with the most accurate information, please understand that scheduling conflicts for events may result in dates and times moving around. We thank you for your patience.

A note about future updates

The School of Public Health’s website will be receiving a redesign in the coming weeks with some functionality potentially changed. While we do not anticipate calendar subscriptions to be disrupted during the transition, we will reach out through appropriate channels to update on any changes.

If you encounter issues with the calendar, please contact the communications team at sphcomms@wustl.edu.
